A Registered Counsellor is a mental health professional in South Africa, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), who provides accessible, supportive care within the community. You can think of a Registered Counsellor as the first point of contact when you’re struggling or simply need someone to talk to. Our role focuses on prevention and early support in mental health, helping you navigate challenges before they become overwhelming. We offer individual counselling and short-term, supportive counselling for a range of concerns, including stress, life changes, emotional difficulties, and identity exploration. Additionally, support can be offered during times of crisis, ensuring you feel more grounded and contained. If more specialised or longer-term mental health support is needed, we can guide you toward the appropriate professional, including options for online counselling, to ensure you receive care that best fits your needs.
